Eva is back to work, since she didn't win the lottery during the holidays. Happy New Year! About Me Describe Yourself: Hi there! I'm a native New Yorker by birth (Washington Heights in the house!), and a Miamian by transplant. I love my kid, music, dancing, and movies. What more is there for me to say? On Gather, I'm Looking For ...: Fun, laughter, and information; on a more grandiose scale, I would like to find world peace, and the meaning of life... Interests Lately I've been listening to: Nightmare Revisited, Katy Perry's One of the Boys, Nightwish's Dark Passion Play I'm currently reading: Currently reading George Orwell's "1984" for the 10, 569th time; I love that book! Additionally, beca The last movie I watched was: I watched several this weekend: "Immortal", "Weekend at Bernie's", and "Trinity is Still My Name"... My must-see show is: I'm currently watching "Sons of Anarchy"; Ron Perlman and Katey Sagal are fabulous! Favorite Music, Artists, Genres: Because I'm a firm believer that one should find the good in everything, I have been lucky enough to appreciate at least one good song in just about every musical genre I can think of. Still, if pressed for preferences, I would have to say I'm a countrified rocker trapped in the super-sized body of a dancing (and I do mean ANY kind of dancing) fool! Favorite Books, Writers, Genres: I know it might sound funny, but I adore the classics, a.k.a. everything we ever had to read in high school and college! I'm a big fan of Shakespeare, the Brönte sisters, Jane Austen, George Orwell, Ray Bradbury, Maya Angelou...the list goes on and on... Favorite Movies, Actors, Genres: My taste in movies follows the same philosophy as my taste in music; as such, my collection of films defies any attempt you could possibly make at narrowing down my preference(s). Favorite TV Shows, Actors: I'm not a big fan of broadcast television; as a matter of fact, I try to avoid it like the plague. Still, if I had to choose any shows that I have enjoyed, "Charmed" and "Wanted" would top that list, and way back when, I used to watch "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" on a semi-regular basis. Now, if you're talking cable television programming, that's another story; I loved "Sex and the City" (I love the movie too!), "Six Feet Under", "Oz", "The Sopranos", "Dead Like Me" and "Carnivale". I absolutely adore "The 'L' Word" and "Dexter". Interests and Activities: I love music, dancing, karaoke, movies, learning the secrets that lead to a life filled with peace, love, harmony and joy, etcetera...the list goes on and on... Favorite Sports:: I don't follow too many sports in-depth these days, but when I did, it was gymnastics, basketball, football, and figure skating, in that order. More recently, I've become a NASCAR fan (I feel...the need...for SPEED!), and I'm learning to love hockey (Go, Panthers, go!). Affiliations Political Affiliation: That's hard to say, really... Candidates I support: Because I still believe in the concept of the "secret ballot", I never share this information. Sorry!
